Itinerary:
Kitaoji Bus Terminal -> Takagamine Genkoan-mae -> hike to Sawanoike -> Bodhi Falls -> Taking the JR bus at Bodai-michi bus stop at 16:03 to return to Kyoto city.
The trail up to Sawanoike is not too steep, but there is about 20 minutes of uphill hiking. Other sections are fairly flat, and in the afternoon we will walk down the road beside a stream. While walking down, it’s nice to walk slowly, listening to the sound of running water.

"Bodai-no-Taki" was a location in the filming of Kawabata Yasunari's novel Koto (The Ancient City). It is said that Kitayama cedar is beautifully polished with fine sand from here. In particular, this wood was widely used in tea rooms during the Muromachi period.
