J.E.E. Annual General Meeting Report

Sunday Feb 5th at J.E.E. Office. Attendance: 11 adults, 2 children

  • 2016 activities Powerpoint report by Hosoki-san

  • Financial report was presented and approved. Most of income was from Eco-Calendar, so it is important to make a good calendar again this year.

  • Format of monthly newsletter, currently B5, proposed to change to A4.

  • After a short break, Kawasaki Motoko gave a presentation on 23 years of beach cleanup campaign at Aji Peninsula, Kagawa Pref. Her group is all local volunteer based, supplying all necessary items with no financial support from local government, which is a good way of creating a stronger sense of community. She looks forward to continuing this activity for a total of 50 years! We admire her enthusiasm!

  • Following the meeting, we had nabe for dinner. Kawasaki-san brought Sanuki-udon, Shikoku' s famous original speciality. Everyone enjoyed it very much, so this was a good way to finish the meeting.
