1000Women Weaving Peace Kyoto Exhibition

Without ‘Peace', Without ‘Women', We Can't Talk about ‘Environment'

In 2003, a citizen's project called ‘1000 Women for Nobel Peace Prize' was set up in Swiss. The organizers chose 1000 women across the globe and nominated them to Nobel Peace Prize 2005. Although they were not awarded with the official Prize, ordinary women and men praised the 1000 PeaceWomen after knowing the project and its publication of all 1000 women's short life stories. This exhibition is about them, showing photos and other material that tell us the 1000 PeaceWomen's contribution and grass-roots activities towards realization of peace, justice and environmental protection, with even endangering their lives under some political situations.

Enjoy 1000 PeaceWomen! Enjoy Life in Peace!
